Medicare pays 80% of the costs. Without additional insurance, you will be saddled with 20% of the cost. In healthcare, that could be a devastating financial catastrophe. So when you are ready to start Medicare, you have two choices. You can choose a Supplement or you can choose Medicare Advantage.
Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage is health insurance that is provided through an insurance company. Medicare Advantage is Part C and typically has traditional healthcare coverage including dental, vision, hearing, and over-the-counter benefits.

Usually this is due to the member has picked up items that are not in the Over-the-Counter catalog. Best Practice: If you are going into the store, take your Over-the-Counter catalog with you and make sure the item number or SKU matches the catalog.
Sometimes it takes longer for the application to be approved and most carriers use third party companies that may not ship out as quickly as desired. For our clients, we contact the carrier and get the shipping date and let the member know when they should receive their card OR let them know that a new card has been reordered.
